this morning I, while progressing rather rapidly down the freeway, was left as if standing still by an Infiniti FX35. Not only is this piece of machinery a fabulous design but it also has a little "see-ya-later" under the hood. This experience reminds me of when I was following a friend, a corporate pilot whom I imagine flies like he drives -- fast!, to Starbucks to aid in a bit of tutoring with his brand new 15" Powerbook. We took a right and as soon as we came around the corner he was gone! No tire screeching, no fishtail, just gone. I mean he literally took off! Needless to say I was certainly impressed. Unfortunately, concerning it's categorical status I don't think I completely agree with Road and Track calling it an SUV simply because it doesn't exactly look like one and certainly has more potential than your "take-the-kids-to-school-and-soccer-practice" SUV. As I mentioned to a friend a few days ago I see it as more of a hybrid or simply a car on steroids. Though the performance is impressive the overall look is just as stunning: a sweeping rounded body that's suttle, stylish, and naturally aggressive in nature.
