and we are apparently official. I find the whole 'come sign your life away' rather amusing. Perhaps the clincher was when the guy said,"You basically can't get out of this unless you die." That's about as classic as you can get.

I started the packing...

process today and I can honestly say it's not the most exciting thing to do in the world. I suppose the only way you can look at it is to view the whole ordeal as one of those necessary evils. But it is a wonderful opportunity to rid yourself of things you don't want, need, or use any longer. Yeppers, it's a premature spring cleaning.

Anyone ever know...

an individual whom you'd like to stick your fist through his/her face, but you just can't do anything about it in the present or the immediate future? Yeah, so do I. Sometimes I'm dumbfounded how some people can be such inappropriate tools.

The big drop-off...

of my pops system takes place today and everything would've gone rather smoothly had I not grabbed the wrong Tiger install discs yesterday before leaving for work. You can't install the PowerPC version on an Intel processor, but of course I was too busy not thinking to remember that!

The Apple Store...

called and the MBP is ready for pickup. My pops will have his new Mac in hand by Saturday right after I finish a clean install of OS X. Now, my immediate family is fully converted over to a proper OS and it's absolutely amazing how my tech support hours have dropped! Yes, I am in fact... a happy camper.

It's a great day...

because my new MacBook Pro just arrived!! Let the migration begin -- though I'm not sure if I just want to do a fresh install and start from scratch to clean out any "bugs" (you know, just in case). I'm taking my "old" MBP in to the Apple store before it gets handed off to my pops due to the latch being a little less springy than it should be. It's amazing how much a I love getting a new system!

I'm moving!!...

I just turned in my application for a new residence (yep, going back to an apartment closer to work) and will be moving at the beginning of next month. It's been 3.5 years since being in a communal living area (ah, the memories of school) and I'm actually looking forward to it. Sure, I'll miss my roomies, but being 0.5 miles from work as opposed to 30 miles certainly makes a difference. Now, all I have left to do is order the moving truck and start packing... oh joy.

I must say...

asking me if I've had trouble with my door because you pulled my DOOR HANDLE OFF while attempting an oil change is not the best way to instill customer confidence and brand loyalty. Not to mention you now want me to go to the dealership, get an extimate, go back to you, let you get the estimate approved, cut me a check, and then have me go back again to the dealership to have it fixed. Do you not see how much you've completely "mishandled" this situation?

Isn't it fun...
