should have already posted about this but I received my gorgeous new 17" Aluminum Powerbook last week and am perhaps loving it too much. My Airport Express arrived yesterday and so far all is well. Unfortunately, my current router, WRT51AB is no longer being supported with firmware updates, doesn't run on Linux, and subsequently fails to communicate with the AEX to allow bridging. I suppose I could replace the WRT51AB with a WRT54G which has been successfully bridged with the AEX, but that doesn't lessen my disgust with Linksys for lack of support.

just found my next vacation spot. Jack Newton owns and operates the Newton Observatory B&B and, according to Travel + Leisure, is the only non-Ph.D. sitting on the Astronomical Society of the Pacific. In fact, Travel + Leisure recently did a piece giving well deserved recognition to this avid and rather accomplished astrophotographer. Some of his breathtaking stills are available online, but naturally do not grant Nature the justice she deserves. All I need now is to clear up a 4-day weekend and I’ll be on my way.

the lovely tendencies of a guy who says he will call but simply does not (referencing my absent postings). While I have no legitimate excuse I will say it has been a busy summer up to this point. This is an extremely short post so here are the necessary updates:

- Just received this little gem and it is pretty. I will not bother with another review but I will say the new Symbian OS v.7.0 is wonderful.

- A close friend of mine was just hired at marcus evans and starts tomorrow; from what I have read the company appears very solid.
